My family of six are long-time Alaskans. We booked a glacier tour with Matanuska Glacier Park, and were so impressed with both the professionalism of their guide and the inspiring grandeur of the glacier itself. We learned more than we ever knew about glaciers in general and the Matanuska Glacier in particular, even after years of driving by it. Our guide was very considerate of the physical limitations of our oldest member, who was in his 80’s, and we had a fabulous tour. I can not recommend taking a guided tour highly enough.
